Ginger Sautéed Pears
This recipe was included as part of the Fruit Pruning Class taught at the Brown County Central Library February 2024.
Ingredients
- ¼ cup local unsalted butter
- ¼ cup dark brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons peeled minced fresh ginger
- 4 firm but ripe local pears, peeled, cored and thinly sliced (about 1 ¾ pounds)
- ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add brown sugar and ginger and stir until sugar dissolves.
- Add pears and cinnamon; sauté until pears are tender, about 6 minutes.
